Petroleum products:
Some Petroleum products like AGO Diesel, Motor oil, Premium motor spirit and
Dual
purpose kerosene are fast selling products in Nigeria. Due to shortage of power
supply which is still a big issue in Nigeria, Most large organizations like
banks, auditing companies, insurance companies, mortgage homes, big laundry
service outfits, luxury hotels, bakeries, ICT firms, industries and others
depend on High end diesel generators to carry out their daily business
activities and operations. Though some areas subsequently have light, the
supply is epileptic.
This has automatically increased the demand for Diesel. Large
generators of 20kva and above are normally used in these business environments
and they run on diesel. This is one of the fastest selling products in Nigeria
as the organizations mostly buy thousands of litres putting good money in the
pocket of the dealers on the long run.
The motor oil or engine oil is used for both cars and
generators. Generators are not luxuries in Nigeria but Necessities. Most
families have a generator in Nigeria regardless of how small the size may be.
These generators depend on Motor oil to grease up the piston rings and crank
shaft to keep the engines running.
The number of cars on Nigerian roads also reveals the number
of people using transport services in the country both for private and
commercial vehicles running interstate and intra state trips. This means a lot
of users are at the mercy of good motor oil supply to keep their vehicles on
the road. The need to change the engine oil of a car or generator depends on
how well it is being used. The more the engines are engaged, the faster the oil
should be changed. PMS (Premium motor spirit) or petrol is what makes the car
move from one point to another. Most Nigerian cars are petrol engines and they
consume a lot of petrol while keeping up with their daily activities.
A lot of Nigerians also depend on Dual purpose kerosene to do
business and keep food on the table. Kerosene is used more for commercial road
side business women who roast and cook food for a living. They use the kerosene
in stoves. This has caused a diversion of investment to Petroleum products for
some Nigerians who have discovered that the demand keep increasing and joining
the queue of suppliers is just another opportunity to make good money.
Cooking gas (Propane):
Cooking gas has also drawn the attention of business men and women as the price
of Dual purpose kerosene became unstable at some point. Cooking gas keeps the
air free from pollution and is more economical. Families as well as eateries
and large restaurants depend on Propane to cook food. This rise in demand

Restaurants all make money daily from selling food to customers. This means
ingredients like spices and salt have a steady demand to meet the rising demand
for food. Nigeria is experiencing a rapid population growth. This means the
demand will keep increasing as birth rate is far higher than death rate.

platform as people have more time to look for sellers with cheaper and better
options selling a premium product.

clothes are listed among the necessities of life clothing is one thing people
buy everyday regardless of quality. Some people buy clothes to cover themselves
up and look good to work or business, some for special occasions like wedding
and other ceremonies while others shop for the fun of it. The population of
Nigerians is also an encourager for this business as demand keeps increasing by
the day. People outgrow certain sizes of cloth so at some point it becomes
imperative to change their wardrobe.

a lot of Nigerians depend on to carry out their daily activities is Drugs. The
quality of food and the Nigerian environment has caused a high mortality rate
which is initially caused by various sicknesses ranging from Diabetes, Ulcers,

accidents. Full treatment of many of these sicknesses is more expensive as it
will involve paying doctors for medical services and use of their facilities. These has subjected many people to settle for
drugs only option while others use drugs recommended by doctors for preventive
