Reasons why you should Avoid Overspeeding

Brake Failure: Many Automobile companies have had new cars returned back to their factories. They have also had reasons to call back some vehicles because of subsequent complains attached to a specific car model. This means the cars are not 100% perfect. Hence drivers should leave room for eventualities by being careful. Brakes tend to wear out and need to be checked from time to time. Having a brake failure while over speeding, can lead to a serious car wreck which can cause life threatening damages or death eventually.

Sudden Mechanical Fault: Some mechanical faults can lead to terrible accidents. A disconnected steering rack, a steering lock due to security malfunction, damaged car hubs, broken shafts among others can force the car to a direction contrary to the drivers navigation. An overheating car can also cause a fire. These issues sometimes occur without warning or prior signs. It is therefore imperative to keep the car at a controllable speed that won’t cause much damage when these issues occur.

Unexpected Tyre Burst: Some tyres can burst even when they are still quite new. Faulty brake callipers and overheated hubs can make car tyres abnormally hot. This can lead to a tyre burst. Worn out and Expired Tyres can also burst at any time without earlier signs. One of the worst nightmares of a driver is to have a burst tyre while over speeding. This can cause the car to somersault, go off the road or also ram into other road users because the car will be out of control.

Loose Tyre Nuts: Tire nuts get loose when they are not well tightened. The nuts sometimes get broken due to rust. These can make the tyre loose and eventually roll out of the car while in motion. The damage will be minimal if the affected vehicle is not over speeding.

Sharp Corners: Many reckless drivers have ended their lives in sharp corners due to over speeding. The car is harder to control even for car racers while in a sharp corner. The safest way to drive through a sharp corner is to reduce speed and keep the car under control.

Insane Driver Collision: It is important to keep in mind that all drivers on the road are not in the right frame of mind. Some drivers are on drugs, some a depressed and carried away in thought, some may have a death wish while some may be extremely in a hurry. It is easier to sometimes avoid collision with these set of drivers when you are driving at a reasonable speed. However over speeding will make it impossible to avoid them when they lose control.

Loss of Control: Over speeding even on a straight road can lead to loss of control. Over speeding makes the car lighter which makes it more vulnerable. A little swerve around a sandy road side can sweep the car off its feet. It is safer to drive at a reasonable speed.

Extreme Weather Conditions: Weather conditions like Haze will make it harder for a driver to see far. Over speeding can lead to a fatal crash if an obstruction appears within a short distance away. Roads are always slippery during winter and icy rains. It is safer to keep the car at a low speed in the weather conditions.

Law Violation: There are speed limits for different areas over speeding may not necessarily be high speed but a speed higher than a set limit within a residential area. This may subject the driver's car to be impounded or pay heavy fines.
