Manchester United To Move For Gareth Bale Before January Deadline
Manchester United will make an attempt to sign Gareth Bale from Real Madrid before the end of the Janaury transfer window, according to reports.
The 28-year-old, who was wanted by United in the summer, has made only 11 appearances for the Spanish champions this season due to injury.
According to the Sunday Express, Madrid are now ready to sell Bale due to his constant injury problems and United are hopeful that they could potentially complete a deal this month.
Madrid are also preparing a move to sign Neymar from Paris Saint-Germain this summer and would use the money from Bale's sale to finance the move.
Earlier this week, Madrid returned from their winter break to secure a 3-0 win over Numancia in the Copa del Rey with Bale scoring a penalty in the match.
'It was important to see how [Bale] felt,' Zinedine Zidane said after the game.
'In the end he played an hour, without problems, feeling physically well.
'He had played four games with 20 or 30 minutes [off the bench], this was his first start. So we will continue like this. We want him to play regularly now.'
