Garmin Vivofit 4 Fitness Band Launched With Year-Long Battery Life
Garminhas launched the Vivofit 4 daily activity tracker as
the successor of the Vivofit 3. The new wearable is touted to
deliver up to one-year of battery life and features an alwayson display. It comes in White, Limegreen Speckled, and Black colour variants with a price tag of $79.99 (approximately Rs. 5,100) and is available in the US via Amazon.com. Garmin is also selling interchangeable accessory bands in a Speckled Merlot and Speckled Navy combo pack at $29.99 (roughly Rs. 1,900) and individual bands in Speckled Black and White colour options at $19.99 (approximately Rs. 1,300).
The Garmin Vivofit 4comes with a coin cell battery that can last for as long as 12 months. There is a sunlight-visible, transflective eight-colour, memory-in-pixel (MIP) display that offers basic features such as time, date, timer, stopwatch, and a step counter. A widget to view day's current weather can additionally be set. Also, there is a built-in accelerometer that helps users track their different activities, including walking, running, biking, and swimming. The wearable device can set a countdown timer and even allows users to track find their misplaced phone with a press of a button.
Similar to other Garmin fitness tracking devices, the Vivofit 4 has Move IQ feature that enables the wristband to detect changes in user's movements and automatically and classify different activities. There are also enhanced options such as sleep tracking and intensity minutes that you can access various watch faces, colour themes, and personalised text such as an emergency contact or a motivational phrase.
